Meet Your Lead Provider
At FaithCare Health, we believe that strong patient-provider relationships are the foundation of exceptional healthcare. Our lead provider, Dr. Tugas, is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages.
Dr. Tugas began his career with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Philippines in 2010. In 2015, he moved to Hawaii, where he gained extensive experience working in nursing facilities, care homes, case management agencies, and hospice and palliative care. These roles deepened his understanding of holistic care and fueled her desire to serve her community more directly.
Driven by his commitment to excellence, Dr. Tugas pursued and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chaminade University of Honolulu. He is an ANCC Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Today, he provides comprehensive primary care at his two clinic locations in Honolulu and Waipahu, where his approach is grounded in faith, integrity, and a deep respect for each patient’s unique journey.
Every patient encounter with Dr. Tugas reflects the core values of FaithCare Health—faith, compassion, and whole-person wellness.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Jun Tugas is deeply committed to living a life rooted in faith, family, and service. He finds great joy in using his musical talents to glorify God, playing the keyboard and drums at his local church. Through music ministry, he expresses his gratitude and devotion, believing that worship is a powerful extension of healing and encouragement.

Desiree Joy plays a vital role in bringing FaithCare Health’s mission and vision to life. As Clinic Manager, she leads with a heart full of service and a steadfast commitment to faith, compassion, and integrity. Her leadership ensures that every patient is welcomed with warmth and dignity, reflecting the clinic’s dedication to whole-person wellness and care rooted in Christian values.
With a strong background in healthcare, Desiree holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She has devoted much of her professional life to in-home supportive care and residential care homes. Her experience working closely with older adults has deepened her empathy and shaped her passion for providing personalized, high-quality care that supports each patient’s health journey with excellence and grace.
Outside the clinic, Desiree enjoys spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals, and embracing the joys of motherhood. She is a proud and loving mom to two wonderful children, Dorothea and Johann, who continue to inspire her every day.
